Organic Forms, Playful Spirit

Most kitchens in Singapore force you to choose: cooking space or living space, function or flair. This decades-old HDB refused to compromise on either but getting there required a full fledged renovation first.

The flat still had its original cabinetry and an outdated layout. Our client wanted a proper wet-and-dry kitchen setup with appliances positioned so cooking and entertaining could happen simultaneously. So we stripped it back and started fresh.

We reconfigured the layout, installed new cabinetry, and opened up the flow between rooms. The fridge, oven, and microwave now cluster between the wet and dry zones, everything within arm's reach. The island doubles as breakfast counter and entertaining hub, with a hidden ice box tucked inside. Even the laundry got its own sink, keeping mess away from food prep.

Beyond the kitchen, we redesigned the entryway, reconfigured the living and dining areas to flow seamlessly, and added bespoke wine cabinetry.

This is what happens when you strip away decades of patchwork updates and rebuild with intention. No awkward layouts. No compromises. Just a home that finally works the way you actually live.

So here's the question: what compromises have you been making in your own space that you don't actually have to?
