Ultimate HDB Maisonette Transformation

One of biggest projects of 2019 turned out to be one of our all-time favourites! Blessed with incredibly lovely clients and a rare 2-storey Executive Maisonette HDB, we had the opportunity to completely transform the space into a modern home for two musicians.  Maximizing the natural light that floods the living room, we kept the space airy and clean with pops of colour, working with textures like wood, metal, leather and jute. These earthy tones and materials helped keep the space grounded and mature, even though we played around with more eccentric elements like a gallery wall and green feature wall with a built-in circular shelf to disguise the uneven surface that lives behind it. A stunning, completely new kitchen was designed and installed as well as a cosy dining nook. We seized the opportunity of creating something special for the staircase by wallpapering each step and we’re thrilled with the result. Upstairs, transformed two bedrooms into separate music studios, fully equipped with sound-proof walls and the latest, state-of-the-art recording equipment.
