An Urban Apartment Face-Lift

This young Singaporean couple contacted us with a simple brief - to breathe new life into their 20-year-old 2 bedroom apartment. Home to two furbabies, they wanted their home to feel bright and airy, but not lacking personality and colour. We played around with pinks and blues throughout the kitchen, bathroom and master bedroom. Using a variety of materials such as glass, wood and brass really helped bring in a modern sensibility into their space as well as some character. Our favourite design elements however lie in the master bedroom. By fabricating a false wall on one end of the room, we were able to create a full, spacious walk-in wardrobe! Behind their bed we fabricated another false wall only half way up this time, that can act as a display shelf for cool decorative elements such as posters and vases, but also as a replacement to a bedside table. Here we’ve shown you what the two options look like and how a bedside table can still work in the space.
