Condo: Balancing Contemporary Design with Play
How do you balance Contemporary Luxe with Playfulness? This project located in the North East of Singapore was a fun one! Our client, a family of 3, came to us with this big home to rethink their spacial plan, and to style it up uniquely.
Spacial planning
So we proposed to expand the living room by combining both the original living and dining areas, resulting in the new living area to be twice as big. We then turned the nearest bedroom into a cosy dining room, giving the vibe of a private dining concept. Proposing this new spacial change challenged our design and styling to breathe the theme seamlessly across the different areas of the home. But if you know us by now, we’re always up for a good challenge!
Bold design choices
We designed this home with bold colour choices, textures, and fixtures. Wallpapers were also an intentional choice. At the main entrance, the art deco inspired pattern (black crayon lines against white) creates a grand ‘welcome home’ to greet the owners stepping out from their private lift. In the large living area, a luxe geometric pattern fills the ceiling fully. Let’s not forget the finishing touch of the chandelier to add that extra tinge of royalty. Lastly, a scallop inspired print in gold laced both sides of the dining area - what a treat for the eyes!
Pulling this entire renovation and design off required a considerable amount of planning. From the initial space planning, to accessories and paint, every step was well thought out, and that's what we did for this home.
